Coach Chamberlain graduated from Adams City High School in 1983 where he was 1st team All State in baseball and an 8-time letterman in football, basketball and baseball earning 1st team all-conference in all three sports. He went on to play two years of baseball at Metro State.
He started coaching high school baseball in 1991 and spent six years as a varsity pitching coach in Denver public schools at George Washington HS and Thomas Jefferson HS.
He was also a youth coach for several years in SJSA in basketball, football and baseball.
This season is his eleventh year as a coach at Chatfield High School. His record at Chatfield is stellar, leading the Level 3, JV and Varsity teams to league championships.
He was also part of the coaching staff that led the Chargers to three straight Regional Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Those three Elite Eight finishes include the state runner-up in 2015.
He established the Denise Chamberlain Scholarship Award in 2016 in memory of his loving wife of 25 years. Ten players have had the privilege of getting this scholarship.
Larry has two boys. Ryan is a 2011 graduate of Chatfield and Nick is a 2014 graduate of Chatfield.
When not watching or coaching baseball you can find Larry working or relaxing in his backyard with his fiancé Lisa Heisler and dog Mason.
Asst. Coach - Jeff Barnes
Coach Barnes is excited to return to Chatfield baseball this season. After spending five years at Chatfield, he spent the past two years at Littleton HS with Coach Pieratt. Coach Barnes is the program’s catching coordinator and is a Varsity Assistant. Throughout his high school career, he has coached at all levels – from heading up the Level 3 program to assisting on both JV and Varsity. Back in the day, Barnesy attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Denver Prep league where he played and lettered in baseball, football and tennis. He was an all-Conference pitcher his senior season. Prior to coaching at Chatfield, Coach Barnes spent his time coaching baseball, football and basketball with South Jeffco. He took his youth competitive baseball team to over 200 wins including two state titles during the 6-year run. He also volunteered on the SJ Board and held various positions including Director of Baseball. When not on the Chatfield Diamond, he is in his 9th year at Visa, Inc. where he manages teams of Project/Implementation Managers. Coach Barnes and his wife, Janice, have been married for 28 years and have their one son, Tanner, who was a CSH 2017 graduate and went on to play baseball at Augustana College and Whittier College where he is set to graduate with a Biochemistry degree in May 2021.

MY NAME IS JOSH COX, AND I AM A VARSITY BASEBALL COACH AT CHATFIELD HIGH SCHOOL. I AM ENTERING MY 10TH SEASON AS A HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL COACH, AND MY FIRST WITH THE CHARGERS. I HAVE COACHED ALL LEVELS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL AND AM CURRENTLY THE OUTFIELD COACH FOR THE PROGRAM, AND AN ASSISTANT OF THE VARSITY SQUAD. I PLAYED BASEBALL FROM AGE 4 ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. I WENT TO BISHOP MACHEBEUF HIGH SCHOOL AND WAS ON THE 2005 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. I HELPED COACH THE 5280 ELITE A COMPETITIVE 14 YEAR OLD MAJOR’S TEAM, AS WELL AS A 12U TEAM WHO FINISHED 16TH IN THE NATION IN 2018. I HAVE RUN NUMEROUS BASEBALL CAMPS FOR YOUNGER PLAYERS WHICH INCLUDING PITCHING, HITTING, FIELDING, BASE RUNNING, AND RULES OF THE GAME. AS A COACH I WILL GIVE ALL MY EFFORT WHEN I STEP ON THE FIELD TO HELP MAKE KIDS BETTER BASEBALL PLAYERS. I AM A HUGE BELIEVER OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT, CHARACTER, AND HAVING A GOOD BASEBALL IQ. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT PRACTICES WILL BE RUN TO MAKE THE PLAYERS BETTER AT BASEBALL, SO THEY CAN PERFORM TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY ON THE FIELD. I COACH EVERY PLAYER WITH THE INTENTION OF GETTING THEM TO COLLEGE IF THAT IS A GOAL OF THEIRS. I HAVE A HUGE PASSION FOR THE GAME OF BASEBALL, AND CONTINUE TO BE A STUDENT OF THE GAME EVERYDAY. Head Coach - Jason Novotny
Jason Novotny was born and raised in Omaha, NE and attended Bryan High School where he played baseball and football. After high school, Jason joined the US Navy and completed two deployments to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on board the aircraft carrier, USS Harry S. Truman. After serving in the Navy, Jason completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Colorado.
Jason has been coaching baseball for over 13 years and is entering his 5th year of coaching at Chatfield High School.
Jason and his wife Jennifer have been married for 20 years and have four children together; Jared, Dylan, Kyle and Evan.

Coach - Tom Hadley
Tom Hadley was born and raised in Superior, WI. He graduated from Superior Senior High School, having played both basketball and baseball at the high school level. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1999 with a degree in Finance and Business Management.
Coach Hadley has been coaching youth baseball in the Chatfield area for the better part of the last decade and has been around the game of baseball since before he could walk, as his father coached youth baseball in Wisconsin for close to 25 years.
In addition to coaching, Coach Hadley is also an active member of the Watch D.O.G.S. community (a school-based community engagement organization designed to bring positive male role models into schools). He has also been a member of the the board of the Shaffer Elementary PTA, the Ken Caryl Little League and the Ken Caryl Ranch Community Planning Committee.
